Happy dogs make good sled dogs! I'm glad to hear it! I am very interested in how you train your dogs for freighting. I have a 6 dog alaskan husky cross team I run on trails but I have 3 malamute cross pups that I haven't done much training with yet. I would be interested to hear any insight you have on training dogs to pull even when faced with significant resistance. Right now I have a command I tell my dogs on uphills and such so they know that I want them to keep pulling and that I am not using the brake. I think I accidently trained my dogs to equate drag resistance with stopping due to the use of a brake!
